NEW AUCTION & SALEROOM TO OPEN IN NICOSIA…
Castle Auctions are expanding their operation with a new Auction and Saleroom centre in Nicosia, just off the main highway at Latsia, in addition to their existing salerooms at Ypsonas, Limassol.
Every two weeks, alternating with the Limassol Auction, there will be general sales of household and garden furniture, electrical goods such as TV’s, washing machines and Computers, tools, cars, antiques, militaria, jewellery, art and collectables and other unusual and interesting items with specialist sales taking place throughout the year.
We are busy getting prepared this week, but will be officially open from Monday 6th October and the first auction will take place on Saturday 25th October at 11 am, so bring your items down for inclusion in the sale!
The auction is a good opportunity for people to sell their pre-loved items quickly and without the fuss of private advertising or the Bazaraki’s. Public auctions are a fast and fair way to sell goods because participants bid openly against each other and the item is sold to the bidder who offers to pay the most.
Auctions can be a very valuable way for private individuals and businesses to quickly release capital from unwanted items, deadstock in storage or simply demonstrate that a fair market price has been achieved for repossessed or abandoned goods. The process of selling is fast, removes the trouble of storing goods, buyer negotiations, viewing appointments and turns unwanted assets into cash, fast.
Auctions can also be great fun for buyers, ‘Part of the pleasure of the auction is not just the excitement of bidding against other people but the thrill of picking up unique and quality items such as an original painting rather than a mass production one, at a reasonable price’ said Duncan Wills the resident Auctioneer and Valuer.
Entries for the sale are invited and already items ranging from classic cars to gramophones have been received. The closing date for entries to the first sale is Saturday 18th October.
In advance of each sale a catalogue, with pictures, descriptions and starting prices of the items for auction will be available for viewing and to download on Castle Auctions’ website and Facebook page.
